Located in the clean, high technologyTuggerah Business Park 40 minutes North of Sydney, Australia, Relativity PL and its business units Fourth Axis(R) and Fluoroplastics(R) transform both engineering polymers and low molecular weight polymers into metashapes for industrial, CNC-proofing and jewellery-manufacture industries.
Relativity PL also manufactures polyolefin-based neutron shields and fluoroplastics-based isotopic separators for nuclear engineering.
Energy usage reduction in the processing of high performance plastics is a particular area of research. Our Fluoroplastics(R) business unit has developed techniques such as direct resistive heating of moulds with currents over 1000A. Sintering ovens using no conventional heating elements have also been perfected, to provide absolutely uniform temperature distribution, based on finite element analysis of the shell structure and microporous insulating media.
All these business units focus on export markets, achieving an export proportion above 98%. Special credit goes to the Fourth Axis(R) unit, exporting 100% of its CNC micromachines and rotary axis modules.
